Sound Bazaar Festival – 11 July at The Yard, Manchester

This vibrant mini day festival brings together global rhythms and genre-blending sounds in one of Manchester's most unique and beautifully decorated venues. Enjoy 12 live acts, DJs and performers across multiple stages, alongside workshops, arts and crafts, delicious food, drinks and ice cream. It's a family-friendly event, so children are welcome. Free parking is available around the venue. Football fans won't miss out either—the England vs Norway World Cup quarter-final will be shown live during the evening. Among the festival highlights are Oojami, the musical project of Necmi Cavli, who was born in Bodrum, Turkey, before moving to London in the 1990s. He began DJing his own music in a small basement club in North London's Turkish community, laying the foundations for the distinctive sound Oojami has become known for. Today, Oojami continues to create music that seamlessly blends Eastern melodies, urban beats and English vocals. Rather than following conventional world music fusion, their sound is rooted in personal experience and a genuinely multicultural perspective. Their latest single, "Starry Eyed" continues that journey, combining contemporary influences with rich cultural heritage to create a sound that is uniquely their own. Don't miss the chance to experience Oojami live at Sound Bazaar Festival on 11 July at The Yard, Manchester.
