
BTS, also known as Bangtan Sonyeondan or Beyond The Scene, is a South Korean boy band formed by Big Hit Entertainment in Seoul in 2013. The group consists of seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. They debuted in 2013 with the single No More Dream and released music that blends hip hop, pop, and R&B while exploring themes of self-acceptance, youth, and social issues. Their global breakthrough came with the Love Yourself era, and they became the first K-pop group to top the US Billboard 200 with Love Yourself: Tear in 2018. They enjoy a massive international fanbase known as ARMY and are active in philanthropy, including the Love Myself campaign with UNICEF. BTS's influence helped popularize K-pop worldwide and sparked conversations about mental health and self-empowerment.
