Lamb of God

Lamb of God is an American heavy metal band formed in 1994 in the Richmond, Virginia area. They began as Burn the Priest and later adopted the Lamb of God name, developing a groove-thrash sound marked by heavy riffs and intense live energy. The classic lineup included Randy Blythe (vocals), Mark Morton (guitar), Willie Adler (guitar), John Campbell (bass), and Chris Adler (drums). They released Burn the Priest in 1999 and New American Gospel in 2000, building a dedicated following. Their breakthrough came with Ashes of the Wake (2004), followed by Sacrament (2006) and Wrath (2009). The band is associated with the New Wave of American Heavy Metal and has sold millions of records worldwide. Lamb of God won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance in 2010 for Redneck. In 2012–2013, Blythe faced legal proceedings in Prague after a fan's death and was acquitted. They have continued to release music and tour, known for their relentless shows and enduring influence on modern metal.
