SPRINTS is a post-punk band from Dublin, Ireland, known for their raw energy, politically charged lyrics, and explosive live performances. Formed in 2019, the band consists of Karla Chubb on vocals and guitar, Sam McCann on bass, Colm O'Reilly on guitar, and Jack Callan on drums. Drawing influence from the likes of IDLES, Savages, and Patti Smith, SPRINTS quickly gained attention for their gritty sound and fierce commitment to social commentary, often addressing issues like gender inequality, mental health, and identity. Their debut EP, "Manifesto," released in 2021, was met with critical acclaim, marking them as one of Ireland’s most exciting emerging acts. Over the next few years, SPRINTS built a dedicated following with a string of powerful singles and EPs, as well as relentless touring across Ireland and the UK. Their music combines sharp lyricism with driving rhythms and distorted guitar riffs, creating an urgent and compelling soundscape. In 2024, the band released their debut album "Letter to Self," further cementing their place in the modern punk and alternative rock landscape. The album showcased a more mature sound while maintaining the intensity and directness that defined their earlier work. With passionate performances and deeply personal songwriting, SPRINTS continue to push boundaries and make their mark on the international music scene.
