Giveon Dezmann Evans, known professionally as GIVĒON, is an American R&B singer and songwriter recognized for his rich baritone voice and emotive storytelling. He was born on February 21, 1995, in Long Beach, California. GIVĒON developed a passion for music at an early age, inspired by classic jazz and soul artists, as well as contemporary R&B. GIVĒON gained widespread attention in 2020 when he was featured on Drake's hit single “Chicago Freestyle,” which introduced his signature vocal style to a global audience. That same year, he released his debut EP, *Take Time*, which received critical acclaim and was later nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. The project showcased his unique ability to blend raw emotion with minimalist production, quickly earning him a dedicated fan base. Following the success of *Take Time*, GIVĒON released a second EP, *When It's All Said and Done*, which further cemented his place in the R&B landscape.
