Amble
Amble is a contemporary Irish folk trio that has swiftly risen to prominence with their heartfelt storytelling and evocative melodies. Formed in late 2022, the band comprises Robbie Cunningham (vocals/guitar), Oisín McCaffrey (guitar/vocals), and Ross McNerney (mandolin/guitar), hailing from Leitrim, Sligo, and Longford, respectively. Initially meeting through social media, their collaboration began with impromptu gigs in Galway pubs, leading them to leave their previous professions in teaching and data science to pursue music full-time . Amble's music is characterized by its stripped-back acoustic arrangements and rich vocal harmonies, drawing inspiration from folk legends like John Prine and Joni Mitchell . Their debut EP, Amble (Live), released in 2023, showcased their raw sound and lyrical depth .
