Her honest and fearless lyrical style gained her a dedicated following. In 2021, she released her breakthrough album *Prioritise Pleasure*, which was widely praised for its bold production, emotional honesty, and commentary on gender politics, mental health, and self-empowerment. The album appeared on numerous end-of-year lists and solidified her reputation as a unique and vital voice in contemporary music. Self Esteem is also known for her dynamic live performances, theatrical stage presence, and outspoken advocacy for women's rights and mental health awareness.
