Kim Wilde

Kim Wilde is an English pop singer, songwriter, and television presenter who rose to fame in the 1980s. She was born on November 18, 1960, in Chiswick, London. The daughter of 1950s rock and roll singer Marty Wilde and Joyce Baker of the Vernon Girls, she grew up in a musical environment. Wilde's career took off in 1981 with her debut single Kids in America, which became a major international hit. She followed it with a string of successful albums and singles, including Chequered Love, You Keep Me Hangin' On, and Cambodia. Her cover of You Keep Me Hangin' On reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1987. In the 1990s, Wilde shifted her focus to gardening, becoming a respected landscape designer and television presenter. She later returned to music, releasing new albums and touring. Celebrated for her contribution to pop music, she remains an iconic figure in the industry.
