The Temper Trap

The Temper Trap

The Temper Trap is an Australian indie rock band formed in Melbourne in 2005. The group is led by Dougy Mandagi (vocals) with guitarist Jonathan Aherne and a rotating lineup of musicians over the years. They became known for sweeping arrangements, bright guitar work, and Mandagi’s distinctive falsetto, building a reputation for big, emotionally charged songs. They first broke through internationally with Sweet Disposition, a shimmering single whose popularity grew after airplay and inclusion in films and TV. Their debut album, Conditions, received strong critical and commercial attention, establishing them as one of Australia’s most prominent indie acts in the late 2000s. In the following years they released additional material, including a self-titled album, and toured extensively around the world, maintaining their status as a staple of the global indie rock scene.
