Blink-182 is an American punk rock band formed in Poway, California, in 1992. The original lineup was Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Scott Raynor, who recruited Travis Barker as drummer in 1998. They released early albums Cheshire Cat (1995) and Dude Ranch (1997) before breaking into the mainstream with Enema of the State (2000) and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket (2001). After a hiatus starting in 2005, they reformed in 2009 and issued Neighborhoods (2011). Tom DeLonge left the band in 2015, and Matt Skiba joined, leading to California (2016) and Nine (2019). Blink-182 is widely regarded as a defining force in modern pop punk and has influenced countless bands since its inception.
